The Grafton County Complex, (Farm, Nursing Home, Jail ) has a long and detailed history going back to the 1800's.  A comprehensive series of articles were written by Andrea Fitzgerald for the Bridge Weekly/Sho-Case newspaper.  These articles provide a plethora of information about Grafton County and they were kind enough to allow us to offer these for the website.

Grafton County is in the process of creating an historical room which houses items from the past as well as written documents that chronicle the lives of people who have passed through here.  The room is located in the Administration Building on the second floor and is open to the public M - F 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  Someone is generally available to answer questions but you may want to call before coming .  (Jeri @ 603-787-6941). Books and items can not be removed from the area but there is plenty of room to sit and read.

If you should happen to have to some articles from the old Grafton County Farm that you would like to donate to the historical room, please give us a call.
