On January 2, 2006, Grafton County suffered the loss of one it's barn by a fire.  If it were not for the efforts of the many men and women who put themselves on the line for us everyday, a much bigger loss could have been sustained.  

The Grafton County Commissioners wanted to honor these Firefighters who did such a phenomenal job that evening and had a luncheon in their honor on February 6th at the Nursing Home.  Pictures of the fire and a plaque labeling the event were gifts to the Departments. 

Approximately 40 Firefighters were in attendance.  

The Grafton County Commissioners and all the employees and residents of the Complex send a big THANK-YOU to all who helped contain the fire.
