Community Corrections

Base range $12.92 to $17.36
Upon Certification, base range $15.20 to $20.43
(Rates do not include shift, weekend, & holiday differentials)

Job Summary: Would primarily be assigned to female participants who are participating in drug court and/or community corrections. Would do daily monitoring and check-in visits at each participant’s residence throughout Grafton County. Would have to do searches on participants and their residence.

Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent; higher education or work experience in social work highly desired. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must be certified as a correctional officer NHAC within 12 months. Must meet all physical and mental requirements as required by the New Hampshire Retirement System. Candidates must submit to a thorough background investigation and criminal record check.

Dispatcher
Sheriff's Communication Center

Pay range $15.39 to $21.30  Varied Shifts ~ unbenefitted part-time

Job Summary: Mans the county public safety communications center; responds to a wide variety of routine and emergency calls; dispatches fire, police and EMS and monitors their status in the field; completes related documentation and filing.
 

Requirements: Knowledge of radio transmission and computer skills equivalent to completion of a high school diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to assimilate a multitude of information simultaneously and correctly assess the scope and magnitude of emergencies. Must be able to think and act quickly and calmly. Requires ability to speak concisely and distinctly. Keen vision, hearing and eye/hand coordination are essential. Must have ability to learn operation of communications equipment and the geography of service areas. Ability to multi-task is crucial. Must be available to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
