Governor Lynch Commends 
Grafton County
Department of Corrections      

At the Official Governor & Council Breakfast, May 17, 2006,Celebrating County Government Week, Governor John Lynch present Commendations to the Grafton County Department of Corrections:


The Grafton County Department of Corrections Staff
 
 
WHEREAS, The correctional officers of Grafton County continue to deal with inmate overcrowding in a challenging jail design; and
 
 WHEREAS, These correctional officers face offenders dealing with increasingly complex drug and alcohol related issues, and
 
 WHEREAS, The Grafton County Department of Corrections has had no major incidents over the last 12 months, and
 
 WHEREAS, The correctional officers operate and support programs that will improve the lives of those in their care, and
 
 WHEREAS, The Staff of the Grafton County Department of Corrections have demonstrated professionalism and compassion in performing their jobs under difficult circumstances and have earned the respect of both jail residents and their follow professionals;
 
 NOW, THEREFORE, I JOHN LYNCH, GOVERNOR and The Executive Council of the State of New Hampshire, do hereby commend the Grafton County Department of Corrections for its work on behalf of the residents of Grafton County and our state.
